THE COLLABORATION

It’s been an exciting few weeks here at Derby Brewing and we can finally share this news with you. 

The first-ever Derby Brewing collaboration beer, we decided to keep it local so have teamed up with our friends at Thornbridge! 

We are huge fans of Thornbridge, their beers are fantastic and we are proud to stock their products across our pubs, so they were an obvious choice for our first colab.   

We had the pleasure of working with the Thornbridge team when we opened the Clubhouse in Derby and some discussions came up regarding doing a colab together. Once the brewery team got wind of this, the creative juices were flowing and our head brewer Andy Marshall visited Thornbridge brewery to work alongside their team and Iron Ore was born!  

For the name, it had to be something Derbyshire, so we have taken inspiration from Iron Ore which was the major export of Derbyshire prior to the industrial revolution and likely resulted in Derbyshire being chosen as the location for the first ever factory!   

Iron Ore is a 4.8% Pale Ale 

Iron Ore is now available in all Derby Brewing, Thornbridge Pubs and will be available across the country. Don't forget to let us know what you think on Untappd!
