OPENING DATE REVEALED FOR THE POINTING DOGS

We are delighted to announce the opening date for The Pointing Dogs will be 6.30pm on Tuesday 18th October 2022.  

The Pointing Dogs is set to become a fresh, new drinking establishment for all in the centre of Matlock. The food menu will feature contemporary pub food with a modern twist perfect for relaxed dining. We are pleased to confirm our new Head Chef Nicolas Porter will be heading up the team at The Pointing Dogs. Nick brings with him over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. He has a vast range of experience from AA rosette level food to classic pub grub. Having recently returned to the area last year Nick has made a name for himself as the Head chef of the Greyhound in Cromford, and we are very excited to have acquired such a skilled and knowledgeable head chef. We are very excited for you to see the menu he has designed for the Pointing Dogs.  

Drinks wise, as you would expect from a Derby Brewing Company venue there will be an extensive drinks range with craft beers, premium ales, artisan spirits, cocktails, world wines and ciders. 

On the opening day we will also have the pleasure of turning on the original Smiths clock which hasn’t worked for over years 20 years.
