The Derby Brewing Company cycle route
the challenge: Visit all five dbc pubs in one day, by bike…
In May, some of our customers embarked on what can only be described as an EPIC cycle ride to visit all five of our venues! Travelling across Derbyshire and Staffordshire, James Tubby, William Tubby and Neil Weatherstone started their 62.4 mile journey at 9am from Hilton.
They cycled on Route 54, travelling through Barton Under Needwood, and stopping in Lichfield at The Pig for a well-deserved Hop Till You Drop.
The trio then returned to Barton-Under-Needwood, this time stopping at our newest venue - The Middle Bell. After another quick refreshment break (Business As Usual), they travelled the longest section of their journey - 21 miles, taking 2.5 hours, to Derby. At The Tap they sampled some of our new seasonal brew, Tropical Punch before travelling the short journey to The Greyhound for a pint of Mercia IPA.
Their final stop before travelling back home was at The Hole In The Wall in Mickleover where they had both Juice Bomb (another seasonal beer) and Quintessential.
They arrived back home in Hilton at 8.35pm - just 11hours 35 minutes after leaving!
Well done to James, William and Neil - we’re incredibly impressed.
