Derby Brewing Co working with Derby Homes

We have been working behind the scenes with Derby Homes and creating their very own beer which celebrates 100 Years Of Council Housing.

Addison ale has been brewed to commemorate The Housing Act 1919 and its author, the then-minister for health and housing, Lord Christopher Addison. Commonly known as the “Addison Act”, it paved the way for the council housing we know today and led to the clearance of more slums than at any time before it, and saw 700,000 new homes built nationally.

Addison Ale will be on offer at this years Derby CAMRA winter ale Festival, it is also available to be purchased directly from us at the brewery and we have already sold it into pubs in Norwich and Birmingham.

Derby Homes will have a large presence at the Derby CAMRA winter ale Festival. They will be taken over the library in the Roundhouse, where their staff will be on hand to talk about the 100 Years Of Council Housing plus they will be promoting Addison ale.
