APPRENTICE BREWER 

Are you passionate about beer then this is a fantastic opportunity to join our decorated award-winning team, working alongside our experienced brewers in an exciting role where you will be taught the foundations of what goes into delivering consistent award-winning beers, in a fast-paced growing business. 

 THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE

·         Helping prepare for a brew under guidance 

·         Cleaning brewing equipment and brewery to a high & consistent standard

·         Barrelling the beer, filling barrels, recording stocks and stacking the beers away 

·         Cleaning barrels to a consistently high standard

·         Fining beers 

·         Deliveries – including loading of the vehicle, stillaging the beer for customers where required

·         Ordering stocks and scheduling 

·         Helping to brew under guidance once ready 

·         Input into new beer recipes as part of your development 

·         By its nature the role includes manual handling

 WHO ARE WE? 

A multi awarding brewer and pub operator with a range of cask, keg and bottled beers. Our beers are sold across our own outlets, plus across major retailers, pub companies and shops across the country. Having grown quickly over the last few years we now have eight sites across Derbyshire and Staffordshire and exciting plans to continue to develop the business both across the brewery and pub company.   

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

A hard working, committed, loyal individual with a strong work ethic, who is physically fit. A people person with strong communication skills who can work under their own initiative and as part of our small team. A fast learner with a passion to learn new skills with an undoubted passion for beer who would like to join our growing family business. 

SKILLS 

We are looking for an individual with a full UK Driving license, good IT skills and a basic understanding of maths, science and English.  

HOURS OF WORK  

Due to the nature of the business your role will include alternative weekend work and can include long days where required, especially on brew days. The hours will be at 40 hours per week as part of your apprenticeship which will be externally assessed and result in a formal brewing apprenticeship.     

ANNUAL WAGE FOR APPRENTICESHIP

£12,500 per annum
