Who are we?

We are a family run multi award winning craft brewer with four award winning venues across Derbyshire. Following on from our successful crowd funding campaign there is an extremely exciting opportunity to join the Derby Brewing team. We have committed to doubling the size of the business in the next three years, with plans including brewery expansion, development of existing sites and opening further venues.

Our venues currently include four award winners, we are passionate about quality and individuality, each of our venues are individual with their own style, drink and food offering. Our current venues include a specialist drinks pub (The Tap), a quirky city centre venue (Greyhound) focused around craft beer & smoked food, a destination cosy village pub (Queens Head) focused around great drinks and tasty Gastro style food and our latest venue the Kedleston Country House a modern Country house including a relaxed bar, restaurant, boutique hotel and wedding venue.

Across all our pubs we are passionate about food and drinks selection we only sell the finest drinks and produce homemade food, which is made from scratch using the finest locally sourced ingredients.

Derby Brewing Company has exciting expansion plans and we are building strong teams to lead our new sites.

Derby Brewing Company are looking for a number of Assistant General Managers to join us and help with our on-going expansion plans within the Derbyshire and Staffordshire areas. We are looking for people with a great attitude, great customer service skills, a love of craft ales and lagers, cask beers and of course great food.

You will need to be comfortable with supporting your manager, undertaking relief periods and helping to develop your team to ensure that the sites deliver a great customer service ethos that enables us to deliver sales and profitability.

As an Assistant General Manager within our business you will be working with the manager to deliver all the site KPI’s and you will be given personalised development plan to ensure that you can move to a GM role in the future. Ideally you will have been in a supervisory or an assistant role for at least 12 months and have the ambition to progress through the business. It may be that you have had experiences in a branded bar/food environment but you are keen to put a personal mark on one of our businesses. You must have evidence of delivering great hospitality and impeccable standards.
